TINTACHINA / INDIAN INK

This is the proposal of a self-taught, Mercedes Resino, Madrid and versatile artist based in Barcelona, which has never set foot in an art class and that, however, lead pigments in the blood of a family of artists, and by vocation spends his soul moving outward toward the expression.

China Series was born in 2003 in an unpredictable way, \"was an attack minimalist and monochromatic illuminator\" that pass from the contemplation of an iconography of China, where the look of Mercedes saw movement, people, something alive. It was an allusion to the calligraphic forms of Chinese and Japanese alphabet. Thus arose the idea of recreating released by the forms, and how to abstract figuration. To this we must add that the drawings are made with ink and, both, inevitably give the series title.

China Series has evolved and is now in full development, reveling in more complex concepts, where color inks are converging with other components bringing new skin to what began as a simple black spot. Many of these early figures have progressed impregnated with textures like stone, inviting them to see a tinge of sculpture. And this has only just begun.

His drawings are guided by passion, by an irrational impulse, born of an outburst of hand, body, intuition, without a mind to intervene, \"I\'m not even in the creative process, is a force that through me\" \"says the artist,\" because art does not think, only manifest \"

Living with art as a mirror and looks like a breeze passing through the fringes of the idea, it is again, in painting minimalist Mercedes Resino an incentive for the imagination of the viewer. Their characters open doors to imagination, invite us to imagine situations, scenarios, solitude and company. Just a few strokes, fine china ink blots suggest, rather than show - a tiny life on paper.

The spatial relationship between the viewer of the work itself, is close to the point of reversing the visual field of view was an introspective journey. It provides, therefore, inevitable internal dialogue, a feeling that caresses the unconscious.

It \'referred to forms of the Chinese and Japanese alphabet. Came From There to Recreating the idea of freedom of forms, and to abstract figuration. The drawings Are Executed in Indian ink (Chinese ink in Spanish), Henco the name of the collection.

The Chinese Series Is Still Evolving, Taking in new and more complex concepts, where, colored inks converges with Other Components Creating new layers in What Began as a simple black stain. Many of These Have Evolved initial figures to take on rock-like textures, A Certain suggesting element of sculpture. And this is Just the Beginning.

Her drawings Are Born of passion, an irrational impulse, the Movement of the hand, of the body, mindless intuition. \"I\'m not consciously Involved in the creative process, it\'s a force That flows Through me\" says the artist. Mercedes Truly immerse herself in her art, using it as a mirror in Which to watch, as a wise old friend, a gentle breeze That invite inspiration. Her work invite the viewer to imagine Situations, people, aloneness. A few little traces of ink smudge and hint at a miniature life on paper.

The spaces Which Separates the viewer narrows to the point at Which the visual field Become an introspective journey. An inner dialogue is ESTABLISHED Which side gently strokes the sub-conscious mind.
